Reminder: ⚽ The World Cup Kick Off Parade and Opening Ceremony is tonight, Friday, June 12, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Join Mayor Ibsen, Deputy Mayor Bushnell and Tacoma City Council Members as the parade begins at 38th and Portland Ave. and makes its way toward the Puyallup Tribe of Indians Tribal ...Administration Building. A heat advisory has been issued beginning at 11 a.m. on June 14 through 5 a.m. on June 16 for #Tacoma by the National Weather Service. Community members can visit a Tacoma Public Library to cool off. Residents can also access resources and supplies at these locations:
🔷St. Vincent de Paul ...(4009 South 56th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409), 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
🔷Tacoma Recovery Center (2201 South 19th Street, Suite 101, Tacoma, WA 98405), 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
🔷Tacoma Rescue Mission (425 South Tacoma Way, Tacoma, WA 98402), 9:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
🔷Beacon Young Adult Shelters (415 South 13th Street, Tacoma, WA 98402), 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
🔷Nativity House (702 S. 14th Street Tacoma, WA 98405), 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
We will also be working with providers and volunteers to pass out supplies. Learn more at tacoma.gov/inclementweather.
