A full intersection closure will take place at E. 11th Street and St. Paul Avenue on Saturday, June 27, from 6 a.m. to approximately 6 p.m. to facilitate extensive asphalt repairs.

During the one-day closure, the City’s Street Operations crews are scheduled to replace 10,152 square feet of deteriorating roadway, which will involve laying down 250 tons of new asphalt at a depth of four inches.

To help community members navigate the area, advance notice boards and traffic control signs will be positioned prior to construction. Detour routes and “Road Closed” signs will be clearly marked to guide motorists safely around the work zone.

While the intersection itself will be closed to safely complete the work, access to surrounding businesses will be maintained whenever possible, and every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience.

Community members are advised to plan accordingly and use alternate routes to minimize delays.

This work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled if conditions are unsuitable for paving operations. Any schedule changes will be communicated through updated notices and on-site signage.

Community members with questions about this work can contact Project Supervisor Thomas Adams at (253) 591-5870 or via email at tadams@tacoma.gov.
