2400 blk N Union Ave, 9:58am - Crews responded to calls for smoke coming from home. The source of fire was challenging to locate & extinguish due to condition of home interior - after 40 minutes fire under control. One occupant was found deceased in the home.
200 blk E 46th St, 9:45am - When TFD responded to calls for a house fire, crews found smoke coming from the eaves of the home. After fighting the fire for about 30 minutes, the fire is now under control. No injuries to report.
5000 blk of N 29th St, 10:51am - TFD responded to multiple calls for a house fire. Upon arrival, Firefighters saw smoke and flames from the front of the house. Fire is now out. 3 Occupants evaluated on scene-minor injuries. Fire under investigation. Possible arson.

S 15th St & S Sprague St, 11:08am - TFD is responding to an RV fire. Sprague St is being shut down while we continue to put out this fire. Please avoid the area.
5700 blk N 30th St, 12:25am - TFD responded to calls from neighbors about an apartment fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming out of a window, quickly extinguished the fire, and discovered one deceased resident in the unit. The fire is currently under investigation.

👀 What are we looking for? 👀
📚 Tall furniture (like cabinets and bookcases) that could fall over during an earthquake
🏺 Heavy or breakable ...objects on high shelves (especially items that have sentimental value)
🪞 Mirrors, artwork, plants, and other hanging objects
📺 Electronics, microwaves, and other appliances like water heaters and air conditioners
🤔 What do we do next? 🤔
🛠️ Secure all of these objects so they are less likely to fall during an earthquake
🪟 If the items you identified can swing around (like hanging plants), make sure they can’t hit windows or swing off their hooks
🔨 Large objects like air conditioners and water heaters should have a brace to prevent them from moving or falling
🛌 Keep the area over your bed clear of heavy or breakable objects that could fall and injure you
