Project Overview

The South Tacoma Station Access (STSA) projects will help address safety and accessibility disparities in South Tacoma. It is being planned by Public Works in partnership with Sound Transit. Improvements will include the addition and/or renovation of:

  • Bike lanes, protected bike lanes, and bike boulevards
  • Shared use paths
  • Sidewalks and curb ramps
  • Pedestrian & bike crossing opportunities
  • Bus stops
  • Wayfinding signage
  • Safety features
