Project Overview

The Schuster Parkway Trail project will transform this transportation corridor from a high speed, automobile-dominated thoroughfare into a multimodal corridor energized by diverse user groups. The Schuster Parkway Trail will be the connection between the Downtown Regional Growth Center and Point Ruston/Point Defiance Park supporting both commute trip reduction and recreational activities. The trail will be approximately 1.5-mile long, extending from Downtown at the intersection of Schuster Parkway and Dock Street/South 4th Street to Old Town at the intersection of North 30th Street and McCarver Street. This will become one of the final gaps in the overall Dome to Defiance Trail.
