The Tacoma Police Department invites members of the media to attend the official swearing-in ceremony for two of the department’s newest K-9 teams.
K-9 Charlie and K-9 Maverick, along with their handlers, will take the oath of office as the department’s newest police K-9 teams during a ceremonial swearing-in.
The ceremony provides an opportunity for members of the media to capture the event and meet the department’s newest K-9 teams as they are officially sworn into service to the Tacoma community.

Following the ceremony, there will be an opportunity for photos, video, and interviews with department representatives.
Media planning to attend are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early. Come meet Tacoma’s newest four-legged officers. It’ll be paw-sitively worth it.
