On October 12, 2021, at approximately 7:33 a.m., Tacoma Police officers responded to the 3100 block of East M Street after a deceased person was discovered along the side of the roadway.
Upon arrival, officers located the adult female and the on scene Tacoma Fire Department personnel who confirmed the female was deceased.
The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death were unknown at the time.
Detectives and Forensic Services personnel responded to the scene to investigate. The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office also responded and later determined the manner of death to be homicide.
On September 3, 2026, Tacoma Police detectives arrested a 59-year-old male in connection with this case. The suspect was booked into the Pierce County Jail for Murder in the First Degree and two counts of Rape in the Second Degree.
