The City of Tacoma has several volunteer Committees, Boards, Commissions, and Authorities that advise and make recommendations to the City Council and/or City staff. You can only serve on one Committee, Board, or Commission at a time.

The City of Destiny Awards program has been honoring outstanding local volunteers since 1987.
