About Capital Projects
Capital projects construct or improve all kinds of City infrastructure, like facilities, utilities, and transportation. Departments and organizations across Tacoma work on many projects simultaneously.
To keep everyone updated and help coordination between projects, Public Works maintains a dataset of ongoing capital projects, which is displayed in the map below. Additional information about some of these projects is also posted in the City Projects section of this website.
