
Court Dates and Hearings

Warrant Hearings
To schedule a warrant hearing to quash a warrant you may email your request to MunicipalCourt@tacoma.gov.
A warrant remains outstanding until a hearing is held, and the Judge orders the warrant quashed.
Infraction Hearings
A defendant may request a mitigation or contested infraction hearing by checking the appropriate box on the back of the ticket provided by the officer and mailing it to the Court.
A hearing may also be requested by appearing at the service counter for Municipal Court on the 8th floor (Room 841) of the County-City Building. Infraction hearings cannot be scheduled by telephone.
The hearing request must be made within 30 days of the date of violation or 33 days if you received the infraction my mail.
Hearing by Mail
Tacoma Municipal Court offers a hearing by mail option for infractions, parking and camera tickets only. There is no option for appeal on a hearing by mail decision. To start the process, complete the Hearing by Mail form, fill out completely and attach any proof before filing with the Court at:

Parking and camera tickets are not reported to the Department of Licensing and will not become a part of your driving record. They can however suspend the renewal of your registration if they are not paid in full.
