Employment Anti-Discrimination Law
City of Tacoma’s anti-discrimination law, per Tacoma Municipal Code Chapter 1.29, makes it illegal to discriminate in employment and public accommodations regarding the following protected categories:

- Veteran/Military Status
- National Origin or Ancestry
- Disability
- Age (over 40)
- Use of Section 8 certificate
- Alternative sources of income
- Sexual Orientation
- Gender identity
