
Library Board of Trustees
The Library Board of Trustees oversees the operation of the Tacoma Public Library system, which includes the Main Library located in downtown Tacoma and all neighborhood libraries. The Board also appoints the Library Director and establishes and reviews library policies.
The Library Board of Trustees was established per the Revised Code of Washington RCW 27.12.190.
About the Board
Membership
The Library Board of Trustees consists of five members who are nominated by the Mayor and appointed by a majority vote of the City Council. Trustees must live within Tacoma city limits and will serve a membership term of five years.
