State of the City Address: A City in Action

Join Mayor Anders Ibsen as he gives his first State of the City Address on March 4, 2026, at the STAR Center in South Tacoma. Childcare and a local food truck will be available on site, the community is invited to enjoy some local food while connecting with neighbors.

Residents are invited to arrive early and engage with Mayor Ibsen and members of the Council from 5 – 6 p.m., and the program will begin at 6 p.m.

This address will set the tone for a new term focused on bold decision-making, regional leadership, accountability, and delivering results in service to our shared values.

Childcare will be provided on site at the STAR Center at no cost to families during the event through Treetops Playgrounds. To participate parents will check in at the front desk after 5 p.m. to fill out a waiver.
