Council Memeber Diaz Hosts Bridging the Gap: Local Solutions in the Federal Landscape

Join Council Member Olgy Diaz on December 6, 2025, to learn about how issues at the national level are affecting our community. Topics of discussion include:

  • Ongoing impacts to critical support and services from the federal government shutdown
  • Immigration enforcement impacts to civil and human rights
  • What your local officials are doing to act
  • How you can be a part of how we navigate the uncertain federal landscape

Attendees are encouraged to register in advance and bring a non-perishable food donation for our local food banks. Items that are most needed include: peanut butter, canned stews, canned meats, infant formula, baby food, diapers, canned fruits, and canned vegetables.

Transit: Tacoma Little Theatre is located walking distance from Route 11 & Route 16 on the Pierce Transit System, and the Tacoma General stop of the light rail T Line.

Parking: Street parking is available. Yakima Avenue, 2nd, I, and J streets are popular choices.

Please note: The 7-11 parking lot has THREE marked spots for TLT patrons that will be held for individuals with ADA requests.  Do not park in any other 7-11 parking spot.  Also, do not park in any of the private apartment lots.  They will tow your vehicle.

Bicycles: Tacoma Little Theatre has a bike rack located in front of the main building.
