Update Second Homicide Arrest – 2100 block of N 30th St

At approximately 2:03 a.m. on August 7, 2026, Tacoma Police responded to the 2100 block of N. 30th St. for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began lifesaving measures until the Tacoma Fire Department arrived. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians responded to investigate the incident as a homicide.

While officers were on scene investigating the homicide, they were advised that an adult male had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Over the course of the investigation, detectives determined that the male was connected to the shooting and developed probable cause for his arrest. After being cleared from the hospital, the suspect was booked into the Pierce County Jail for Murder in the 1st Degree and Robbery in the 1st Degree.

As the investigation continued, detectives developed probable cause for the arrest of a second suspect in connection with the homicide. On August 12, 2026, a juvenile male was taken into custody without incident and booked into Remann Hall for Murder in the 1st Degree.
