Stormwater Site Plan Templates
Below are templates that must be used to help complete the Stormwater Site Plan (SSP) and Construction Stormwater Pollution Plan (SWPP). Use of the templates ensures all components required in an SSP are appropriately provided and appropriately reviewed to ensure compliance with the City of Tacoma Municipal Code and the City’s Phase I Stormwater General Permit.
Note: These templates may be updated from time to time based upon feedback from the development community and internal staff.
The applicant can include their personal headers/footers to identify their business, but the content and layout must stay the same. Any items that are not applicable to a project should remain and stated that those items are not applicable and why.
-
The Stormwater Site Plan Report Template can be used for larger projects that must comply with Minimum Requirements #1-9.
The Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Template shall be used for any project requiring a full form SWPPP unless a Construction Stormwater General Permit is required; in those instances, the Washington State Department of Ecology template can be used, but BMPs and language from the 13 Elements of a SWPPP from the City of Tacoma SWMM shall be included. Note: smaller projects below have the SSP/SWPPP combined and would not also have to complete this version.
-
The Combined Stormwater Site Plan and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Short Form Template can be used for smaller projects that are only required to comply with Minimum Requirements #1-5 (and #9 as applicable). Alternatively, the Long Form Templates shall be used.
The Combined Stormwater Site Plan and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Short Form – Associated with Approved SDEV Permit Template shall be used for single-family homes that have an associated SDEV permit that covers multiple lots (such as a plat/short plat). Alternatively, the complete Short Form Template or Long Form Templates shall be used.
-
The Operation and Maintenance Manual Template can be used for any project that must complete an Operation and Maintenance Manual (Minimum Requirement #9). Alternatively, the applicant may create their own Operation and Maintenance Manual, but it must include all required components as defined in the SWMM.
-
The Spill Prevention Plan Template can be used for any project that must complete a spill prevention plan (Minimum Requirement #3 – Source Control).
-
The following tables are referenced in the above short form and long form templates. They are used to help determine which Minimum Requirement apply to a project.
- Thresholds Table – Note this table can be shown on the existing and proposed basin maps in its entirety as an alternative to being stand-alone.
- Receiving Waterbody Table
- Minimum Requirements Required Table
- Cumulative Impacts Table
- Source Control Selection Worksheet
-
Below are infeasibility checklists that shall be used to help determine infeasibility for Minimum Requirement #5 – Onsite Stormwater Management.
