Collection Schedule
In Tacoma, garbage and recycling are collected every other week, alternating with food/yard waste. To view your collection schedule, click “My Schedule” below.
Please note: this tool is for single-family homes and duplexes. If you live in a multifamily unit or have commercial business inquiries, please call (253) 502-2100 for assistance.

Holiday Collection Schedule
Tacoma Solid Waste Management does not pick up garbage, recycling or food/yard waste on:
- New Year’s Day
- Fourth of July
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If your garbage pickup day falls on or after one of these holidays, collection will be one day later during those holiday weeks. All other collection days are on their regular schedule.
