Third part of a three-phase construction effort to improve multimodal transportation infrastructure along East 64th Street.

Project Overview
Phase 1 (improvements on East 64th Street between McKinley Avenue and Pacific Avenue) is complete. Phase 2 covers East 64th Street from McKinley Avenue East to Portland Avenue. Phase 3 will improve East 64th Street from Portland Avenue east to Tacoma city limits. Improvements will include:
- Replacing the road
- Adding bike lanes
- Replacing sidewalks and curb ramps with ramps meeting ADA standards
- Upgrading the stormwater and illumination system
