The Historic Preservation Office will hold community information sessions on proposed amendments to the historic preservation-related portions of the Tacoma Municipal Code. These proposed amendments are informed by policy amendments to the Historic Preservation chapter of the One Tacoma Comprehensive Plan, changes to Washington state law, and priorities identified by community stakeholders and City staff.
A virtual community information session will be offered July 24 at 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. and an in-person community information session will be offered at the Tacoma Public Library, Mottet Branch, 3523 E. G St. in Tacoma on July 26 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
If you have feedback on the proposed amendments, there will be opportunities for public comment at the Planning Commission Public Hearing on August 6 and the City Council Public Hearing on October 7.
