Facilities Management
As part of the Public Works Department, the Facilities Management Division provides services for Real Property, Facilities Maintenance, Fleet Services and Capital Project Improvements.
Real Property Services meets the needs of community members and staff regarding the use of Right of Way Property Sales, Property Acquisitions, Easements and Property Management.
Facilities Maintenance provides service and maintenance to General Government facilities including Fire, Police, Community Service, Public Works and the Municipal Complex.
Fleet Services, as part of Facilities Management provides comprehensive vehicle and equipment management activities, enabling City departments to optimize service delivery to the residents of Tacoma. We’re committed to being leaders in customer service, safety and efficiency – measured by our customers’ success, fleet industry standards and best practices.
Facilities Management manages Capital Projects which provide project management services and support for various City departments. It assesses facility needs and level of service impacts to determine project requirements for repair/replacement, renovations, and new facilities. It also manages all project phases from initial project planning/funding through construction closeout.
