Monitored Alarms

Tacoma Municipal Code 6B.40 requires any business monitoring alarms within the City of Tacoma to obtain a Monitored Alarm Device License for each alarm system.

False Alarms

False alarm fees are charged to the alarm monitoring company. If you receive an invoice from your alarm company for a false alarm, please contact them directly with any questions or concerns. If needed, the alarm company will reach out to the City on your behalf to address the circumstances of the false alarm.
