Mayor Anders Ibsen and the Tacoma City Council have proclaimed September 21, 2026, as International Day of Peace in ...Tacoma, recognizing that peace is built through justice, inclusion, mutual respect, and the dignity and equal rights of every person.

Tacoma’s diversity makes our community stronger. Today, we encourage everyone to build connections across cultures, embrace our shared humanity, and work together toward a more just, inclusive, and peaceful future for all.

Thanks to everyone who attended Council Member Kristina Walker’s ‘Walk & Talk’ event on Sept. 16 in the Dome District!
