The hearing will be held during the Council meeting and will begin upon completion of the regular agenda items\, no earlier than 5:15 p.m. Council meetings are conducted in a hybrid format with in-person and virtual options to attend.\nThe STGPD is a zoning overlay created to protect the South Tacoma aquifer\, a vital source of drinking water. The district regulates high-impact uses\, hazardous materials\, and stormwater infiltration within its boundaries. The City is currently reviewing proposed updates to the code governing this district\, as required by the State Growth Management Act and guided by Council direction. The updates aim to strengthen protections for the South Tacoma aquifer. DESCRIPTION:The Human Rights Commission was created by the Tacoma City Council to study and investigate problems of prejudice\, bigotry and discrimination and to encourage and coordinate the implementation of programs consistent with the needs and the rights of all residents of the City of Tacoma. \nHybrid meetings are held every second Monday of the month from 5:30 – 7:30 PM.
